Kallakazza
Personal Request for a Wookiee pirate/mercenary from sloop.
He has a cybernetic face-piece, built something like a breath mask, to make up for losing most of his jaw and part of his left cheek to Trandoshan slavers when he was much younger. He is well past middle age, for a Wookiee, and though somewhat on the lanky side he makes up for his lack of bulk by being both dexterous and cunning. He has charcoal coloured fur that is beginning to have traces of grey in it now, due to his age.

Since I haven't drawn a Wookiee before I thought I would start with a regular sketch and go from there. I'm pretty pleased with it, actually. On with the request, then!

Anyway, here's the next sketch - I think I like it a bit more, except the gun. I'm not great at hardware, generally, but I think the first one was better. Still, overall the second picture seems a bit more the right age and disposition. Thoughts?

I think the last sketch does look more 'middle aged, for a Wookiee'. :> He's more grizzled and looks more rugged.

The 3 pic's wookiee looks best, but I like the second picture's face mask better. The gun does need some work, but the character is looking really stellar.

That is some great looking Wookiee you have there. I agree with Eclipse that #3 does look the best, but if you went with a straight Wookiee pic the #1 would be excellent to do.

Cheers, guys. I agree with you about the face mask, Eclipse, though I don't know why. I think the simplicity of the first was just better and it looked like it was properly part of his face. Problem is, I can probably draw a new gun in that angle and substitute it into the third picture, but the face mask will have to stay. Hopefully it will improve with colour.

New sketch up. I like the gun best in this one, and the face mask isn't too bad. I'm still trying to decide if I like the face of the second-to-last sketch better, though. Something in the eyes that is missing in the last one.
