custom ship based off Republic Sienar Systems Star Courier/scimitar

hi guys this my first request so i hope im doin this right

im currently writing a short story set during the early days of the New Jedi Order series and im looking for a ship design to serve as the main chracters primary vessel. Im gonna give the short story to my little bro and wanted to recreate the cool ship based covers from the x-wing series that i enjoyed so much when i was a kid. Hes currently a bit too young for those yet so i thought id have a crack at writting one myself for him. Unfourtunatly although ive got the writing down drawing a cool cover for the thing has proved to be a lot harder. i wouldnt expect something as complicated as one of those covers just a picture of the main ship which ill outline below to give him a better idea of what the stories about.

I was thinking of something along the lines of a redesigned Republic Sienar Systems Star Courier also more commonly known as Darth Mauls scmitar. Now the star courier is 26.5 meters long as it is only a light transport so im looking for something a bit bigger around the size of a light to medium size freighter somewhere around the size of the hounds tooth between 50 to 100 meters would be good.

I want the general shape to be similar to the original so it keeps with its sienar origins but it shud reflect the fact that it is a freighter so being more bulky around the front section and the wing struts would be good. it would also be good if the ship looked a little battle scarred/worn but not as heavly pot marked as a ship like the Millennium Falcon more just general wear and tear like chipped paint etc

I also want it to be fitted with 4 double laser turrets two on top of the vessel on either side of the ship and two on the bottom in corrosponding posistions to the ones on top. To allow for proper manning of the weapon systems the crew would probably be around 6 in size that allows for one each per turret plus a pilot and copilot.

i think thats about it unless someone else has any suggestions and after seeing the work on this site it would be awesome if one of the artists could pick up this project or even give me some advice on how to make this idea better.
