Nya Halcyon Bounty Hunter Request
I haven't worked on much for a little and wanted something new to draw. I worked with mara.mcduff on an idea of one of her characters. I did this in photoshop and painter back and forth for a little while. I kept on fighting with color but I think it came out well.

"Alusair Farstrider is a decendant of a Miraluka Jedi Master who had Farseeing. The Miraluka forsaw that she would have an ultimate grandaughter who would follow in her footsteps in the ways of a Jedi and help bring balance the Force someday. So going against the Jedi code, she had a child and then sent her to live with a foster family who raised the child and from there the bloodline started.

I've liked Mirialans ever since I first saw Barriss Offee and Luminara Unduli. I've had this character floating around for a while in sketch form and I finally got around to coloring him. I think in the RPG he'd be a scout, but he could be something else too.

Hulking Brawler
I originally did this piece in shades of red (in homage to the character's inspiration, Marv from Sin City), but the contrast wasn't great and he kind of got lost in the sea of crimson. I desaturated it into cool steel blues and it seemed to be a bit easier on the eyes. I'm going to throw the red version up in my blog though, in case the requester prefers that.

Darth Wrayth
While some of my early sketches focused on the actual appearance, I decided in the final image to focus on the "feeling" of the piece, which would make it more accessible and useful to the rest of the community as well. The key element of this particular character (for me, at least) was the interplay of light and dark. A close second was the crystal saber. Combining the two, I came up with something moody and dark that gave the impression of someone both evil and dangerous. I did take some liberties in dressing him in robes, though, which gave me deeper shadows to work with.

I never actually heard back from the Requester about this one, and though I'm loath to flood the 'newest images' line-up I have a few of these old blogs backed up now and waiting to go to gallery. So here is Omapainen Yksilo - Jace.Terrik reliably informs me that this means 'stubborn individual'. He is Kiffar, hence the tattoos, and is a smuggler turned Jedi flying with the 'Lucky Strike'.

Now, I know what most people picture: A fruity little rabbit dude that I named Mr. Fuzzles and have him do random things like carry an umbrella and eat Yodels. But nay, I created him as a very serious and philosophical warrior. He uses NO lightsaber, choosing instead to use his considerable Force energies in combat.
