Life in General

Free Webcomics for your Eyeballs!

I've been drawing a whole mess of comics lately (as some people around here can attest, as they have been assaulted with it most heinously).

I've made a special site - Context Free Comics - updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. So stop by as often as you like!

New Job eating time.

Sorry I have not been very active as of late but I have a new job installing LED lighting, and it's been keeping me very busy.
So without saying I only have the week ends to work on my art. I hope to have a few more submissions soon.

Disappearance

Sorry for my abrupt disappearance. Life got a little out of hand, but things are settling down now and I should be getting back to doing some more works and filling requests.
Again I'm sorry if you had a request that did not get done shoot me a mail and I'll get right on it. :)

Motivational Posters

Sometimes, life can really pull us down with many hardship and obstacles to surmount. You feel like giving up, throwing up your hands and then fall to the ground in abject surrender to the difficulties.

So here are some motivational posters I made to get you through the day!

WOOHOO!

New Campaign

Me and my friends are gearing up for a new SW campaign, set in the future of Star Wars, many years after the galactic civil war. So far, they've come up with a Trianii Ranger, a Sluissi scoundrel, and a Miraluka Jedi Investigator.

Memorial Day (US)

When I was 19, I joined the Army National Guard. I went to basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. I got yelled at a lot, I did a ton of push-ups and learned that I am a fair shot with a rifle.

Back :)

Hey hey all.

Im an old member returning (think my last art I did displayed here was 2002 pretty much when SWAG was started! Life has been hectic with all sorts going on in my life, and finally a little more time and with the new year my new years resolution was to pick up that penicl and load up photoshop again. Oddly enough ive started running a Star Wars campaign with friends on a weekend which has led to a lot of inspiration.

resigning from requests

swagers,

i def love you all... but more that i am frusterated by those that make requests then dont even respond when we draw for them. i will always draw star wars and will post them here for sure... but requests are on hold for now.

back to SWAG

i worry about my style...

fellow swag artists... i have a confession. i worry about how my style fits in here. there are amazing artists that do some great work here. the style of these artists fits into a genre of art that fits very well into the RPG world. while i have been gaming ever since i can remember being alive! i feel that my style might not be what requesters want here. am i too stylized for this site?

Due to popular demand...

Okay, I'm now so far deep in requests that I feel I need to post some sort of running count.
I've been doing this on paper at home but it occurs to me that all you lovely people that have made these requests of me might want to know how far away they are!!

I'd like to point out that this is NOT an invitation to add to this list! If you want a picture drawn up please PM me as usual - I don't want this to start resembling a school sports sign-up sheet...

Anyway, here's what we've got as of today;

Keepin' Busy

For those of you who don't keep up with the DeviantArtz...

I've been keeping busy - I finally finished my most authoritative series of Asok Yeesrim portraits, including a line-up of Asok in 5 different outfits!

I also made character portraits and a line-up of my group's characters for our current campaign we just started (set in KOTOR era), which is actually a prequel to the campaign we just concluded.

I really should be spending less time on this stuff, and more time on homework... but whatever. :P

Wacom Tablets Rule!

Ello all,

Recently I was gifted with a wacom tablet and Photoshop by my boyfriend. I have to admit that digital media is a bit intimidating: however since I am also still learning the finer arts of watercolor I suppose it is also an excellent time to pick up on CG.

Anyways, my reason for ranting is...well, for ranting sake!

Greetings Gentlebeings...and not so Gentlebeings

I just wanted to take the time and write a little since I haven't really posted much since I joined this site.

I find much of the artwork here on SWAG inspiring, as well as some of the stories. It's always great to discover a new outlet to explore and new friends to meet.

As is in my profile, I am an artist and gamer as well, being a member of SarksForce7 out here in Chicago which is a great group of guys and gals interested in terrorizing the Imperial Empire to no end, stepping on the toes (and tails) of various crime syndicates, and lots of other things I musn't discuss...

I'm blown away, proud, and ashamed of myself, all at the same time.

Thanks to the magic of MySpace, I've recently tracked down an old friend of mine, by the name of Jason Keith.

Comic-Con

San Diego Comic-Con was so much fun, as usual. There was amazing art everywhere, I got to meet a bunch of artists and say hello to some of my favorites. I spent way too much money on stuff I don't really need. But my favorite part was getting this photograph of me and my friend Steve with the star of one of my all-time favorite "bad" movies.

Did anyone else go?

Me and Lynda Carter

A little short for a StormTrooper...

So it's Friday afternoon, and work is slow so I sneak a look at Swag while the boss isn't around... :)

*Update* My new Master Replica's Stormtrooper helmet arrived whilst I was at work on Friday, and hilarity ensued. A welcome break from the doom and gloom atmosphere of late.
At £60 ($120) from Play.com, I couldn't resist buying this.
