Triss & Mainyu
A request from Mev186 for a new picture featuring those previous characters I've drawn, Darth Mainyu and his apprentice, Trisskar. Here they are in an action pose, fighting alongside each other in an as yet unwritten scene;
"Although currently there isn't a scene that best fits the pair fighting together, as we are still in the process of writing it >_< However Triss would be looking & dressed similar to how she is in the previous images, as would Mainyu. Mainyu would be enjoying the battle, Like a kid in a candy store. After all, he's reliving his old glory days from the war. Triss would be almost...feral, primal.... a wild cat or tiger inside a human body, ready to leap out at her enemies. The fight that will be taking place would be in the thread Insurrection (link below) fighting in the streets of Iziz on Onderon, against Jedi and rebel fighters."

Mainyu's Face paint does look a bit on the light side, Although any darker and you couldn't tell where his face begins and his robes end :P. The lightning does make his hand look larger. Either way looks great! ^_^

I like the lightning one myself. I can see him kinda charging up here and then he shoves his hand forward and zaps people.

OOooOoo I like! I think I also like the lightening one the most ^_^
Only problem I see (Though i see why it is the way it is) Is that Triss has black hair...not brown ^_^ But...if you make it any blacker one wouldn't be able to tell her hair from his robe.
Also (I hate to ask coz youve done so well...) I was wondering. Think you can also put their portraits on a plain, red, glowy background to? I LOVE The battle scene one, and will use it on my wiki! But I put these images up on my desktop alot, and Id like to have one blend better for desktop show. If it's to much that's cool! Just thought id ask :)

The newest pics are wicked awesome and kicka$$. The rich colors of the characters and the way the female is sculpted well in the stomach area. Mixed with the background it just blows me away. Great job.

I like the one with. It explains the hand more. Some of our best work getsa obscured by the way it all takes shape. But it adds to the overall...very good work regardless

Anyway, at count I think that's 3 for the lightning, one against, and one undecided.
So that's a pretty strong vote for the lightning, I think!
As for the corrections;
Trisskar - I think I've always done Triss with brown hair! Sorry darl! You're very right in pointing out that making the hair darker may well blend it into the cloak behind, but I'm willing to give it a shot...
I'm not sure I know what you mean about the portraits, though? Do you mean cropping the head-shots from this picture and making an icon? Or are you meaning the white bar at the top and bottom? Let me know, cause either will be easy to do.
Mev - I think the face-paint seems light for a few reasons; I've removed the pencil lines outlining this area and I've also had to lighten his skin tone for the picture; in previous pictures I've got away with making it darker due to the low light. However, I will have a bit of a play with this and post again!
Casca, I totally agree! That's so true!
So many times have I painted up a background without consideration of what will be covered by the figure! *sigh* I guess I have to learn not to be so precious!

Here's a quick edit - Mainyu with the face-paint lightened and defined a bit more, Triss with hair toned a bit closer to a brown-black.

Triss's hair - yea I noticed that :-p I never said anything due to the same reasons, black is very hard to work with, specially when using black-ish scenery. The new pic looks real well though.
Portraits - I just meant taking the images of Mainyu and Triss (As a side picture) off the battle background, and putting it on a general black and red-glowy-lightening-y Background...thing >_< lol if that makes any sense? I mainly asked this simply coz I love to put your images up on my desktop and thought it would be nice to stick with the whole black background look ((Since that is the main color of my desktop background)) Just all around fun Options ^_^ not important.
Other then that. I LOVE the Picture and will be working on my wiki some tonight... ((As I've sort of fallen behind >_< ))

*CHEERS ALL AROUND* I like it with the battle background but just a shot of them together is kewl also. The emotion on the characters faces and their pose lets you know that they are dangerous. Keep up the great work.

Yeah, it's hard to remember you guys are in Summer when it's so cold and miserable here!
Hope you're making the most of it, yeah? Man, that's incredible temperatures, though! I guess the high moisture you get there would make it even worse - I don't think I could deal with that at all...
I've stopped huddling by the heater today so I figure I'm over the worst of my sickliness and definitely on the mend. Thanks for all the sympathy, though, I'm feelin the love!

I think it's just that most names that end in i or a seem to be feminine. Then again, what do I know, people often assume I'm a guy when they come on here - I thought 'Mercy' was kinda a girly name, but perhaps not.
