So I was playing around the other day and started wondering who would I replace certain characters or actors from a new hope with......

Chewbacca is now ....messin; with Sasquatch

Admittedly there is alot of cheating going on...and I once again forgot to adjust for my big butt screen when saving...sorry for the skinny

Everyday I crank out about a dozen or so sketches. 99% of those sit in my sketch book, collect dust, and disappear (just like Rob Liefeld).
I though it might be fun to share some of these with you guys and gals. Maybe you can help me decide what to move ahead with and what to forget about.

Male Zabrak character. He's a recon/scout/sniper, so I figured positioning him in sniper-mode would be coolest. Any comments or suggestions?
2nd stage: finished his skin tones. I'll be working on his facial markings as well as his bicep tattoo. I'm still trying to figure out a background....

I appreciate the comments. I chose to go with a different take for the facial markings. I went for something a little more familiar. I had a ton of fun with this character and I look forward to more from all the awesome character creators!

"a picture of Ka'rta in a split panel picture. The top panel would have Ka'rta in her Mandalorian Armor with lots of dings, dirt, and sweaty. The bottom panel would have her dressed really really good. A dress split way up the thigh with a intricate design on it. I don't know a lot about womens clothing so I will that up to you as to how it would look. Elegant but sexy like she is attending some event or function on Coruscant or after an upscale bounty. Something that would blow Nath's boots off but keep it in the PG/PG-13 range. lol.

It will not be a comic cover for this one, just a regular pic. Title for the pic could be "I play hard either way" or "I play hard in any situation" The pose I also leave up to you. My mind kind of went back to Si Lencer and how she looked but with the Mandalorian background."

In-progress of a bad-ass, hard-drinkin' kushiban for Anarchangel. I'm still thinking I might add some more stormtroopers, but we'll see. That would be a lot of drawing ;)

So, yeah, it's been a bit longer than I would have liked, but here's another "in-progress" for the shockboxer. Color flats with a little bit of shading work. I ended up making his head a little bigger since he was looking just a bit ridiculous, but like where it's at now, even if it is a little exaggerated (or a lot).

First update on the boxer. I'm doubting that the original requester is still around to get feedback from, but hey, you never know.

He has come out a bit more cartoon-ish than my usual style, but I'm actually digging it so far. Community feedback is appreciated!

I'm sure REAL comicbook artists don't tackle a comic the way I do...but I like to jump around and work on different pages, depending on my mood. And since this is a fan project, I can afford to take my bloody time!

That being said, this full-page spread of a half-dozen droid Jedi is kicking my butt. Technology has never been my strong suit, and finding interesting, different poses to stick the Jedi in has been a challenge! Especially this full-page.

Because of my misgivings, my approach for Page 2 was a bit different. I roughly sketched the scene as I first saw it in the computer. But I also envisioned the page to be very dramatically lit, and wanted to capture that these heroic Jedi had just broken down a door. I redrew the page, with a significant amount of detail and rough lighting. But the scene still didn't feel dramatic enough.

The next few pages of the story take place in a reception area, so I knew that I would need to design the space ahead of time. I created a rough ground plan (inspired by architect Santiago Calatrava), made a rough foamboard model, and photographed it with proper lighting and camera angles. I then dropped my rough Jedi illustrations into the scene, and moved them around until I found a composition that I liked.

Then I started hacking away at the Jedi. And have been doing so whenever I get a spare chance...and this page has so far taken me about 3 months. Ha!

Anyway, I'll continue to post my works in progress. Let me know what you think so far! So you have some context, here's the page's description from the script:

Int: Kalarban office building. Full-page panel: a group of Jedi bursting through a lightsaber-cut hole into the building’s well-appointed main lobby – this was clearly a place for very important dealings until recently; now, there are huge metal blast shields where the windows would’ve been, and furniture and equipment - droid parts in particular - are lying around randomly.

The intruders consist mostly of a motley collection of battle-scarred Iron Knights, the motley-est of all being Luxum, whose Juggernaut war droid body is draped here and there with bits of the typical Jedi ensemble, and splattered with equal parts oil, lubricant, and blood. The only non-droids in the group are Sey, in full Jedi regalia, and Sage Kelsey, human smuggler-turned-resistance fighter. Kelsey is brandishing a DL-18 and has a pummelstave, taken from a Red Knight sometime earlier, strapped to his back. He looks comparably ragged to Luxum – but far more entertained.

owns a Maka-Eekai L4000 transporter named the Scarab....which has a paint job just like a beetle.... it's also tricked from the inside out and has one h311 of a droid brain...
not much else to say i guess.
The 'character sheet' type thing comes from an rp group husband was trying to start.
